Johnson Chapel AME Church Events

February 13, 2009

Just a reminder that our Celebration of Black History Month continues THIS SUNDAY FEBRUARY 15th from 11AM-1:00PM here at JOHNSON CHAPEL AME CHURCH with the following:
Our Music Department will be presenting it's Annual Heritage Concert...a celebration of Gospel Music and it's unique ability to lift our spirits, encourage our hearts and minister to us with power, wherever it is that we find ourselves in life. Under the dynamic leadership of our new Minister of Music, Chris Hawkins and his team of talented musicians and featuring the anointed voices of our Sanctuary Choir, this concert will be a worship experience that will surely be a spiritual blessing to you and your family!
Sister Madalyn McCulley will share in a moving rendition of a dramatic monologue centered around the life changing experience of the scriptural account of the Woman at the Well.
We will continue to celebrate our very own Johnson Chapel Black History Heroes and Role Models by saluting the second of our three 2009 "HEROES FROM WITHIN' in the person of SISTER ESTHER BALDWIN.
Dr. Roland Holmes will be sharing a special Black History Moment tribute to the NAACP as it celebrates it's 100th Anniversary this weekend. The proceeds of this weeks compassion offering given in support of the continued work of the Orange County Chapter of this outstanding and very important Civil Rights Organization.
Sister Linda Barta and Blake the Puppet (Brother Marcus Law) will bring another very special Children's message especially designed to engage the young and those who are still young at heart.

Make plans now to join with us for what is sure to be a powerful and memorable worship experience. I look forward to seeing you there
